A thrilling and powerful staging
La Soul Machine is a huge band with a vast repertoire including original music, contemporary black music and the greatest hits of all-time. Their live performances combine universal songs that have become musical references to many generations and original compositions from their lastest recording "Terra Negra" (translated as "Black Ground"). Everything merging into a spectacular show, with an impeccable and energic staging, suitable for all audiences: from the most boring people to the most demanding public. Anyone attending a concert can't resist dancing!
A combination of music, history and anecdotes from the six soul major legends.
"At the end of one of their first concerts, an old black man approached La Soul Machine members and told them an incredible story: he said that during his youth he had been the touring van's driver of the most important soul legends. In exchange for a couple of whiskeys, he said, he would told them his story, plenty of experiences and anecdotes. It finally took six whiskeys, one for each legend, but he did what he promized, revealing all the secrets of Otis Redding, Sam Cook, Wilson Picket, Ray Charles, James Brown and Aretha Franklin." Since that day on, one of the purposes of La Soul Machine is to share with the audiences all those stories from these legends.
Fifteen musicians on stage (La Soul Machine + a female String Quartet) contribute to the music giving the sound a particular style full of live, colorness and personality. A unique story walking along with the music specially arranged for this show. Quality and class at its best!
